What
is Spam?
"Spam"
is unsolicited email, whether commercial or non-commercial.
If you
are sending email to anyone who has not requested it, then you are "spamming".
Spamming
is attractive to certain types of internet marketers because it is possible
to send a large number of emails to a large list of people, at low cost.
However,
not only is legislation in place that makes spamming illegal, it does
not work. At best it will annoy recipients and turn potential customers
against your business. At worst, your business reputation and credibility
could be ruined, not to mention the fact that you could land yourself
in court.
Under no
circumstances is spamming acceptable.
Don't
do it!
